Barn Dance Rescheduled!

We're happy to announce that we're rescheduling last Friday's cancelled barn dance for this coming Saturday. Details are as follows:

Saturday, March 1st, 7:00-10:00 p.m.
Lewiston Community Center, Lewiston MN (Google map here)
$5 admission per person; children 10 and under free
Live music by the Misty Mountain Boys (www.themistymountainboys.com)

Refreshments will be served throughout the evening. All dances are taught and will include square and circle dances, folkdances, waltzes, and polkas. All ages are welcome; no partner or prior experience is necessary.

February 21st Barn Dance Cancelled

Unfortunately, due to dangerous driving conditions, we've had to cancel the barn dance tonight. However, we're hoping to reschedule soon, so look for updates in the next few days.

New Year's Eve Barn Dance

We had a very successful dance last night: we did square dances, waltzes, and line dances whilst chatting and munching on homemade treats donated by our regulars in between dances. Many thanks to our band, The Misty Mountain Boys, and our caller, Robin Nelson, for once again making this happen!

Our next dance...

We're pleased to announce that our next dance will be held on New Year's Eve from 7:00-10:00 p.m. We will again be in the Old Schoolhouse of Utica, though we're making plans to move to a larger venue for subsequent dances. The Misty Mountain Boys will, of course, be playing for us, and we'd like to welcome a new caller: Robin Nelson of Minneapolis, MN. You can visit her website here. November 16th Barn Dance

Our most recent barn dance was a tremendous success! We estimated that somewhere between 150 and 200 people attended. It was definitely packed -- not that that's a bad problem to have. Nevertheless, sad as it will be to move on from the delightful Utica Schoolhouse, we're looking for a larger venue for out next dance (tentatively scheduled for New Year's Eve!).
